  • Downspout Extensions

To do these extensions, we typically use a solid and resistant 4″ pipe which is buried 10-12″ underground and extended away from the property’s foundation where water can flow out without causing any issues. The downspout extension also includes clean-out access to help facilitate its maintenance when needed.

Note: This helps to disperse the downspout water further out and away from the property’s foundation and helps diminish the amount of water that directly discharges near the foundation wall.

  • French Drain Systems

To install the french drains, we typically dig a trench of approx. 12″ x 14″ in depth x 12″ in width followed by lining it with a resistant filter fabric barrier, We then proceed by installing 4″ NDS perforated pipe with filter sleeve and backfill using drainage gravel #57. Once the backfilling has been completed, we will continue installing a layer of resistant filter fabric on the top. As its final termination, we will install a layer of fertilizing soil (topsoil mixed with McGill Compost) on the top, as well as tall fescue grass seed and straw. Or install a decorative layer of river jack stones.

Note: The french drain helps to collect and absorb water on the low areas of the property or helps capture water that drains into the yard to reduce the saturation of the yard.

  • Waterproofing

To do this waterproofing, we dig up the necessary depth until reaching the footer. Once we have finished digging, we proceed by deep cleaning the walls using metal brushes and blowers. We will then patch/seal any existing cracks found using hydraulic cement and parging with 2-3 layers of mortar mix to seal all pours of the cinder block. We will then apply a thick coat of TREMCO Waterproofing Paint 250 GC, allowing it to dry. Once the paint has dried, we will install a resistant plastic membrane on top or MIRADrain board with a footer french drain for extra safety. We will then continue by re-installing the dirt back in its place and compacting it.

Note: Waterproofing helps to provide a defense to the foundation wall preventing water from seeping/filtering through the foundation wall towards the interior of a basement or crawlspace. This also helps to reduce the humidity/moisture build-up against the foundation wall.

  • Channel Drain Systems

These systems are great for capturing large amounts of water coming towards a specific point. They are most commonly installed on driveways, basement entrances, and pool areas.

Note: We also install commercial quality channel drain with iron steel/metal grate covers and create custom-sized channel drain systems. Reach out to us to learn more about our channel drain installation service.

  • Catch Basins

These drain boxes immediately capture large amounts of water. They are strategically placed in low-yard areas to capture any water coming in that direction. We can tie these to any existing or new drainage systems so that all water flows underground towards a drainage-friendly area where water can drain out without causing any issues.

Note: The catch basin will help to capture surface water to prevent pooling or water accumulation on low areas of the property.

  • Sump Pump Installations

Sump pumps are used where basement flooding happens regularly and to solve dampness. The sump pump system also helps to receive the water collected from the interior or perimeter french drain of a crawlspace or basement. They are in charge of sending water away and out from a house to any place where it is no longer problematic, such as a municipal storm drain or another drainage system.

  • Interior French Drain

Unlike an exterior French drain installed outside the foundation in the “mud zone,” interior drainage systems are installed in the “clear water zone” above the footing. It stops water at the perimeter of your basement and safely drains it away.

Note: The water captured and collected by the french drain is then directed towards a sump pump basin or discharged out and away from the property.

  • Re-grading

Regrading is the grading process for raising and/or lowering land levels. It is typically performed to make land more leveled (flatter) or to create a positive slope that maintains water away from certain areas such as foundation walls and patios and to prevent standing water issues under decks, etc.

Note: We typically use screened clay soil that goes through a screening process that provides fine soil, which allows us to create a smooth slope or ground when compacting the ground.
